Dance Classes For All Ages!

Teresa's School of Baton and Dance offers classes for students of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced. Students may enroll at age 3 & up. The fall session starts on September 5. Spots are still available for students to register. Call (276) 647-6060 for more information.

About Our Dance Classes

Regular (Combo): In this class, students take ballet, tap, and baton. It is one hour each week. All students take this class and have the option to add other classes.

Hip Hop- This is a very energetic style of dance. It is unique in that it gives students more freedom of movement. Routines are usually performed to upbeat songs that the students will know.

Jazz- Jazz is a dance form that is matched to the rhythms and techniques of jazz music.

Cheer- Students will learn cheers, chants, and dances that can be performed with poms.

Pointe- Pointe is a classical dance form where the dancer supports all of their weight on the tips of their toes. Students must have approval from an instructor.

Acro- This has become very popular in recent years. Acro can include tumbling and also includes work on flexibility for dancers.

Adult Line Dance- This class is offered at 10 am every Tuesday morning for adults who want to learn line dances.

Our studio normally does at least two recitals each year, one for baton and one for dance. We usually participate in 3-4 parades yearly and sometimes other community events. We offer competitive teams by audition/invite.
